As therapists, we're taught early on about burnout—how to avoid it, how to manage it, and how to take care of ourselves. Yet, despite all the tips and tools, we often find ourselves caught in the same cycle, pushed to the brink before we even realize we need a break. We forget to carve out time for ourselves, to simply take a deep breath and ground our minds. Why do we wait until we're completely burnt out to acknowledge that we need rest?

For me, lighting a candle is a way to reclaim that moment of peace. The soft flicker and the rich, calming scents fill my space and create a sense of tranquility. It’s an invitation to pause, breathe deeply, and reset. I invite you to join me—light your candle, take a breath, and let the fragrance wash over you, releasing the stress and tension of the day. Let’s honor this moment of stillness together.
